Food History Have Many Secrets Uncover Them and Build YOUR Perfect Diet What types of foods were available during our history?
In the beginning it wasn't pasta, bread, dairy, potatoes, pizza, hamburgers, juices, sweet fruits, chocolate bars,
corn flakes, rice or any of our present-day vegetables.
The only foods available for human were:
Plants and berries were eaten in small quantities and only in short period of time, mostly in summer.
Honey was a very "exclusive" product and available seasonally only. On picture Mammoth, pre-historical food...lots of food. Today we know that our ancestors were very healthy and fit. They walked many miles during the day in rain, burning sun or snow, and somehow they were resistant to health problems. Why is that? The answer is in their diet. As you know their diet was based on natural animal products, saturated fats as a source of energy, animal muscles as a source of proteins for strong body, and organs as a source of micro elements and vitamins. Without the doubt, the diet presented above meets requirement for every single nutrient and more important is safe for you and does not cause any discomfort or health problems. But that was 12000 years ago, before new generation of foods came. New foods like cereal, grains or in other words plant based man-made carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are responsible for our present health related problems. Properly speaking, overeating of carbohydrates rich products like bread, pasta, refined corn syrup, sweet fruit juices, fizzy drinks or sweet cakes, cookies, sweetened milk and many more. We humans are not designed to eat so many carbohydrates; your organism prefer fat as a source of energy. Around 50% of fat in your diet should be saturated! I know that what I'm saying now may be kind of shock to you but this is True and I will give you proof on this page. Almost all of your cells have something called mitochondria which are kind of power stations for your body, and the best fuel for them is fat. Mitochondria are designed to burn fat, animal fat. In your body is just few cells which prefer glucose more than fat, for example some cells in your eyes.
Did you know that your heart is using fat as a fuel? in healthy body almost never is using glucose. Did you know that the best fuel for cancer is glucose? is scientifically proven that if your diet is rich in carbohydrates you may be more likely to get cancer. Overeating of arbohydrates may be very dangerous, they are converted into glucose which is fuel for all known cancers.
One of the best ways to protect you against cancer is to keep carbohydrates intake low and avoid almost all of manmade carbohydrate rich products.
"The Most Important Foods in History of Tribes"Many examples of tribes living today around the globe like African Masai tribe, Inuits of Alaska (Eskimos) or Australian Aborigines are living proof that healthy diet must be rich in animal proteins and animal fats. Fact that they eat plenty of animal fat and proteins and they are much healthier than we are has nothing to do with their genes. It is true that each of us has different genes but we are still very similar and as long as you don't overeat you can consume any NATURAL food you like including satuaretd fat and red meat.
You can eat even 20 eggs per day if you like, but only as long as you
don't overeat and your calorie intake is lower or equal to your needs.
Those tribes don't have any health related problems; all of them are able to walk at least 20 miles per day, every day! Can you guess what they eat? Yes, you guessed it! Mostly they are eating animal products. Aborigines, perfect natural bodies. For example, masai drink lots of raw (cultured) milk. Sometimes he mix that milk with cow's or goat's fresh blood (you don't have to do that ;). He like meat and honey as well and sometimes he eat plants, but plants which are very rich in antioxidants.
In Masai diet 60% to 80% of all fats are saturated.
Masai Tribe, all of them are lean and very strong, they can walk 20 miles in burning sun, they are eating lots of saturated fat. What about Eskimos? Those little guys are eating Caribou's meat, seals, fish and plenty of fat (saturated of course) and only few berries in summer time.
Right now they are the ones of the healthiest people on earth, but only those who still keep to their native diet.
Next two examples of tribes are North American Indians and Australian Aborigines. Unfortunately Indians do not exist anymore, but we know (thanks to food history) that their diet was based mainly on a bison's meat and fat.
They ate also meat of smaller mammals and some insects, nuts and plants.
Probably 80% of fat in North American Indian diet was saturated.
Similar is with Aboriginal diet, they ate many kinds of meats, insects, plants, nuts and saturated fat as well (if was availible).
"The men went stark naked, the lower lip and nipple pierced, covered in alligator grease (to ward off mosquitoes), happy and generous, with amazing physical prowess. . . they go naked in the most burning sun, in winter they go out in early dawn to take a bath, breaking the ice with their body." De Vaca To be honest with you I would like to be one of them, they had perfect health and incredibly strong and lean bodies.
Of course you can and you should eat some fruits and vegetables but Not as a main part of your daily diet.
So what lesson you can take from this food history? First of all you don't need to afraid of saturated fats! (don't mix up them with Trans fats, these are deadly dengerous). You should eat them every day in quantities big enough to cover your energetic requirement. Saturated fats are also very important for your skin and hair. Fat is a main component of your cells membranes. You should eat red meat because it is the best source of proteins for your body. Firm body needs high quality proteins.
Vegetable proteins are not bad but only as a side dish.
"Food History vs Pseudoscience"Are we supposed to eat this stuff? Or is it going to eat us?" Annita Manning I know there are some stories about red meat and saturated fat causing cancer and other health related problems, but frankly speaking food history and science are saying something else. Why the healthiest people on the earth (Eskimo, Masai etc.) can eat lots of meat and saturated fat and be healthy? On the other hand why Americans who go after dietary guidelines like food pyramid are the fattest people of the western civilization? Answer is simple. Wild tribes are the healthiest people on earth because they are eating natural human diet, meat and saturated fat. They don't eat many sweet fruits and starchy vegetables, well... they eat some, but not as many as we do. Americans are overweight because they have invention called "food pyramid". Food Pyramid was created by not really good scientists. Probably it is the worst human innovation ever. If you take a look at this "nutrition guide" you can easily notice that you should eat lots of carbohydrates. The truth is, you should not. Overeating of carbohydrates, especialy simple sugras and overeating of polyunsaturated fats will surely laed to diabetes. Diabetes is one of the most dengerous diseases of modern world. By many specialist is recoginized as a first stage of few other modern diseases like cancer or CHD for example. If you would like to know more about sugars and diabetes have a look at Erich Schultz's article "Does Sugar Cause Diabetes? The Role of Sugar in Your Diet" She is author and editor of diabeteswellbeing.com. On the other hand if you want to discover more information about nutrition and cooking you should take a look at these wonderful books about cooking history, real scientific nutrition and old recipes. You will find those books (and more interesting stuff) in Healthy Foods Store. Why does the government don't want to change this "pyramid mistake" if they see what is going on? because government don't have enough power to stand against pharmaceutical and food industry (In fact many politics are strongly connected with Big Pharma and Food Industry) Pharmaceutical and food business are paying great attention to what we eat. And do you know Why?

Because they want profits, they need lots of cash, our cash and simply they will get it if we don't stop them.
For pharmaceutical industry diseases are like oxygen, they need them to survive. Just try to imagine world without diseases, no more spending money for drugs and expensive health insurance, no hospitals (for sure not as many as today), no health problems and no more so much pain. What about food industry? they are working very hard as well, 24/7 to develop useless and disease causing foods. Then they are worrying how to put that "food" into your fridge. So as you can see there is no one, I will repeat: No One! Who cares about your health. Mostly there are people who "care" about your wallet and what's in it. But thanks god there is some hope. We have our food history and many very good scientists who know what we should eat and why. Next good news is that you are not alone. I'm going to show you properly a way of eating and preserving excellent health.

To Be Vegetarian, or Not to Be?This is one of hottest questions these days. Vegetarianisms is now very popular, many people strongly believe that this is good way to go. But vegetarianism is not encoded in our genes and we will never achieve optimal health and life span if our prime food will come only from plant world. There is no point to stop eating of meats and animal fats. Of course we should eat only free range and organic meats if possible (better mineral and vitamin content). Red meat, game meat, poultry and fish and any other animal products are rich in minerals, vitamins, coenzymes and proteins. If you want to be healthy and live long and happy life meat should be on your plate at least two times a week. Of course there are some vegetarians in good shape but nothing is better than red meat proteins, coenzymes and minerals. Weston Price while travelling around the world noticed that in areas where meat was quite easily available people were much healthier, bigger and stronger than in other more veggie areas. That is fact from real life, not from laboratory. Healthy MeatOur human evolution started about 7 million years ago and through all these years we were omnivores, plant and meat eaters. In general we can say that our main food was meat (fatty and lean), fish, many greens and roots, some ripe and sour fruits (not those sweet modern fruits loaded with sugars) and insects. Seven million years of meat eating is very long time, we evolved on meat and fats!Healthy meat is the best source of high quality proteinsStay Well Informed
